Theodore
Deckert has practiced law since 1976, with a career
focus in litigation and mediation in state and federal
courts throughout Florida. He was a Board Certified Civil
Trial Lawyer from 1984 to 2009 and he holds the distinguished "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
He has represented individuals, corporations, and insurance
companies as plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury
and wrongful death, negligence, product liability, construction
defects, medical and other professional malpractice, insurance
coverage, bad faith, civil rights, workers compensation,
employment and commercial cases. He has mediated virtually
every type of legal or personal dispute, including PI, insurance,
and "non-PI" matters such as family, real estate,
probate, employment, contracts and homeowner/condominium
association disputes. He is a Diplomat Member of The Florida
Academy of Professional Mediators and a member of The Florida
Circuit-Civil Mediator Society.
Mr. Deckert's
broad experience and creative problem-solving skills
bring a fresh perspective to any type of dispute. His ability
to see "outside the box" enables him to help people
find the resolution they often can't see in the heat of
battle, whether for pre-suit or court-ordered mediation,
arbitration or settlement conferences of any kind.
He is affiliated
with Matrix Mediation, a full service alternative
dispute resolution firm working throughout Florida. He bases
his practice in South Florida and the Treasure Coast and
has convenient facilities available throughout this area,
but he will go elsewhere as needed. He is flexible on scheduling
and because rescheduling is common, often he can be available
on short notice. He can be reached directly almost 24/7
by phone, fax or email as listed to the left.
